Pattern featured

I was digging around and remembered this pattern and my Gypsy Challenge doll that I did awhile back...

The Strawberry Red Fairy Princess on the Right from 2002 is a pattern that I
released in Jan of 2003! She is simple flat face and with a wired leg armature for standing.
The Gypsy is also an original design and done with the fabrics that Pamela sends out for the challenge.

Hello Nothing much going on here. I have been suffering from the same head cold that my 2 yr old grandson, and his mom have had the last few days...
My daughter has started back to work and Jonathan will be in daycare and I'll be taking care of the baby, so for awhile which will alow me to make a doll or two....starting with Sherry Goshons Trixie class doll that I started several months ago now...it involved doing trapunto for the face and I'll be able to have some time to do it....

It's been awhile since I posted. I've been babysitting Jonathan for my daughter who is working now and he is in his terrible twos and boy is he. I'd forgotton how much energy they have and how little I do LOL!!
I've also been trying to grow some flowers and vegetables: tomatoes reg. and cherry, peppers, okra, squashes, and even planted some vines Kiwi, raspberry and blackberry. I had some hybrid lilys coming up really nice but the squirrels or rabbits or both decided they were for eating....my begonias are not coming up yet but the glads are starting to show them selves...
We have a small stream that goes in front of the house and I planted some squash along the bank and they are coming up but they may be getting too much water they're looking a little on the yellow side...I've never had a very good green thumb...but I always keep trying.

Trust Me Swap

Playing with some polymer clay yesterday and came up with this idea for the inchey swap unicorn horns... I used three colors of clay mixed together champange, white and translucent. Rolled them into balls and then rolled them onto a texturing surface inserted the eyescrews and baked them lightly sanded them with 4 different grits. I used gold rub and buffed on one to see how I liked it.
I'm still learning to use my new camera so bare with me I'll get better...I didn't realize that the date and time wasn't set yet so that is wrong on there...I just took that pic this morning...
Artist Trading Dolls

She's Got Pearls!
This is a new group that takes the concept of the Artist Trading Cards, and goes a step
further by making a templete and using it to make a paperdoll redition. Then we either trade as individuals or groups...

These are a few of them that I've been experimenting with. Some of them have a Paper Clay, polymer mask or just acrylic painted faces and I've used watercolor on the blond here.
They have silks, fibers, embellishments, special handmade papers, and paints to make them and are created on a cardboard backing signed and dated.
The patterns used by permission are from Sherry Goshon and the one that folds up to card size is byJudy Wellnitz!
I believe that the mold used to make this Silk Pink Flower Girl, is a Maureen Carlson angel face...that I used Watercolors to paint.

Stuff for today and a question?
These are a couple
of the bleuettes that I made and sold In May.....one on the rt. is a Gold sfbj 6 0 and one on the left is a sfbj 251... these are porcelain french reproduction with compo bodies.. last dolls done...
Well, Another day, I'm still wearing this cast and worked yesterday and today at the store, one more week left till I find out if they'll remove the cast. I haven't done any dollmaking for months since June and I'm Jones'ing to get going on it again... I'''''ve bouight Sherry's Gillie pressmold and herCostume for Street Entertainer...I got the Dude for all seasons for free for ordering one time so now I can play with him...
I need some idea's suggestions for a doll/figure for a boy with a Lighthouse type (to go in Jonathans bedroom) theme would it be sailing???
I did some scrapbook layouts on Sunday without the journaling as I've not got very good writing and I can only type for a short time before the hand/wrist starts to hurting... /Boy did it feel good to at least do that much....
today I bought some really pretty papers and know they'll make some great pages in the ancestory album....speaking of.....
If anyone who reads this knows of a Howard C. Adams born around 1890 in MI. who married Agnes Marvill (I have hers) and had a son Lewis James Adams (my father) please contact me... I''ve found him in the 1930 census but I'm stumpted.......
Well I'm tired going to bed...

Back and Doll Show

Well by the time I got back to writing in this blog a lot of time has gone by and I'd even forgot how to get into it had to make new password and everything..
I've been sick so much that I've not been playing at making dolls but all that is about to change...
I've signed up for the spring swap and have ordered and recieved several molds from Sherry Goshon that I'm really excited about. One is the cutest waif looking fairy type...and I want to do her first.. and then the I'm going to signup for her class to make a Victorian Rabbit. Yeah I'm wanting to play again....
I'm the president of the Silver City doll club and we are getting ready to re-elect officers and that will be so great as I've held a poisition for the last 4 yrs now and am ready to rest well really to start playing...
I also belong to a group of girls that enjoy the French Bleuette doll and we have meetings once a month where we meet for lunch and do a project.
On Saturday I took my Daughter and her son to El Paso to the doll show down there and it was a good day... My grandson Jonathan is 14months...and we had him in a stroller and as we passed by a basket of Barbie's and Ken dolls I picked one up and showed it to my daughter and said he's too young for him and he burst out crying like I'd broke his heart so I bought him his first Ken doll and of course some clothes and boots...and another Ken for me...to play too! Oh and I did buy a Madame Alexander from a UFDC Tea Time lunchen..
After the show we had dinner at the Olive Gardens and here is a pic I took of Jonathan and Casie... More later.........maybe not so long this time....
